A marine industry expert with decades of experience, Jared has always felt yachting/boating is its own reward bringing family and friends together to make memories.

As the grandson of a Yacht Broker, he has been exposed to this great industry his entire life. He now guides buyers through the process of entering or continuing the experience of yachting. As President & Licensed/Bonded Broker for United Yacht Broker, a company his grandfather started, he found the luxury yacht buyer had no access to unbiased information. Although Licensed Brokers are bound by a fiduciary agreement, not all brokers are licensed, and the structure of the business creates a bias by requiring them to sell to be paid. Because of the need for an unbiased ally to the consumer, Luxury Yacht Advisor was created.

In addition to United Yacht Broker, Jared was Co-Founder of the Mikker Sports boat dealership, and a Licensed Captain - U.S. Coast Guard. Jared has also worked for North Tahoe Marina, boats.com, Maxwell Marine – Vetus, Marine Software companies, Marine Dealer Solutions, and  BoatTEST.com. These experiences exposed him to the inner complexities of the marine industry and now enable his clients to benefit from his expertise.
